Java community gets fastest-ever EMV (Chip and PIN) Kernel - thanks to CreditCall
DeveloDevelopers who use Java as their preferred platform can now take advantage of EmvJ - a Java version of CreditCall's successful EMV Kernels for Windows and embedded systems.
Drawing on 8 years' real world application of EMV expertise, Chip and PIN payment software specialists CreditCall today announces the addition of EmvJ to its existing suite of EMV transaction processing software.
The Java interface provided by EmvJ, which is based on the software architecture of the highly successful EmvX Kernel and offers a simple and rapid method of adding EMV Level 2 functionality to any Java based application.
Addressing a common complaint about Java-based EMV solutions - primarily memory footprint and performance - CreditCall has developed its EmvJ Kernel with speed and efficiency as important design criteria.
CapablCapable of running on the smallest Java environments, with modest system resource usage, EmvJ uses the latest EMVCo optimisations. This makes it significantly faster than other Java-based Kernels.
CreditCall Technical Director Jeremy Gumbley, who led this development explains, "The ability to easily add new features across multiple hardware platforms and operating systems, without impacting existing functionality, is a key reason why many developers have chosen to implement Java based solutions. This is just one of the benefits that CreditCall can provide with EmvJ, our EMV Level 2 Kernel for the Java Virtual Machine." www.emvx.co.uk.
